I’ve sought out volunteer opportunities, chiefly by contacting a local voluntary organization.
It was through them that I was asked to revamp/redo the website of a church. The Church of the Holy Rood. Their current site (screenshot above) was extremely dated, was lacking a responsive layout, and didn’t even have an SSL certificate!
It was WordPress based and the main contact person was familiar with this and so it was a collaborative effort. I created the pages, interface, design etc, and then elements such as images were tinkered with between us.
